Sitting day after day in an office building was not the picture of my life that I had in mind. As a child, I loved playing outside, riding my bike, playing soccer, racing on roller skates and just enjoying time with my friends and family. When I got older and the need to be responsible became top priority, the idea and reality of this easy childhood enjoyment faded quickly. Then I noticed that I had an affinity for and growing appreciation of wine. I began to learn about the process of winemaking, which begins in my favorite place...the outdoors. It was fascinating how the weather conditions, like an extra rainfall or day of direct sunlight, affected the growing grapes, and the many steps it took to transform this simple fruit into an exceptional bottle of wine.
